Student Life

At SFIS, our Student Life is exemplified by national, international, local and unique culturally-based clubs and programs offering a variety of opportunities for out-of-school learning for our students. We are proud to house the following programs at our school:

Our Student Living Program for both High School and Middle School is rooted in a long history of rich on-campus living for SFIS students. Our dedicated Student Living Staff deliver daily programming that merges together Academic support and nurturing, recreational enjoyment and life skills training—resulting in a comprehensive student-focused program that our alum refer to as one of the best features of our school.

We also offer spaces for student reflection, creativity and relaxation, such as the Educational Activities Center, which is accessible to students after school and during evening hours.

At SFIS, we also offer a variety of athletic teams at both the High School and Middle School level that include everything from championship Basketball and Track to newer teams like Soccer and Boxing.

We also offer innovative, diverse and established student clubs and programs like Spoken Word. Our internationally-recognized and award-winning Spoken Word program is yet another example of our commitment to student-focused programming. Bridging the arts with the spirit of community and humanity, Spoken Word offers students the chance to reflect on and activate their ability to express themselves through voice and movement.
