HEALTH CENTER STAFF 

 

Helene Quintana, RN, BSN is from Cochiti Pueblo, NM. Helene is the new School Nursing Supervisor for the Santa Fe Indian School Health Center. Helene graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Nursing. She previously worked for the Kewa Community as a Public Health Nurse. 

Helene is excited and blessed to be the School Nursing Supervisor and looks forward to this new experience. 

She enjoys working with Native Youth as they are among the most engaging and intriguing audiences to work with. Helene enjoys maintaining her own wellness while always having fun. She loves to run, snowboard, hike and travel and enjoys live music. 

 

Rachel Candelaria, is from San Felipe Pueblo, NM. Rachel is the school's new Medical Clerk. Rachel graduated from the Santa Fe Indian School, class of 2006. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and received a Liberal Arts Degree from Central New Mexico Community College. She appreciates the cultural values of SFIS and loves the positive focus on empowerment, education, and community. Working with teens has given her the ability to see how creative, and energetic they are and is excited to help keep students healthy and well on campus. On her free time to help maintain her wellness, she loves to travel, enjoys live music, and spending time with her family and dog
