About SFIS

Security

The Security Department falls under the Emergency Services Department at SFIS. We are a service-oriented department on-site to assist students, staff, and visitors.  Our goal is to keep everyone safe on and while visiting the school campus. We also offer "lock-out," "dead battery," and other appropriate vehicle assistance.

Security is the first response for fire, medical, and other external security/law enforcement issues. SFIS Guards are comprehensively trained in law enforcement, medical, and fire response.

The following information is relevant for visitors to the SFIS campus:

  • Entry: Security utilizes the LobbyGuard Kiosk system at the front gate. All visitors are asked for their drivers' license, which is scanned against the national sexual predator and violent criminal databases. This system reliably keeps undesirable persons off campus.
  • Obtaining a Visitor’s Pass: Once cleared by Security, a pass with your picture is printed. Entry passes are valid for up to an entire school year.
  • Lost Passes: If your pass is lost, we are happy to replace it.
  • Helping Out: As you visit our campus, we also appreciate your call should you see any activity needing our attention.

Feel free to call Security at 505-690-4580 anytime to speak to the on-duty Guard for assistance.
