Updates to Returning Student Registration

We are happy with the response to our new Online Registration (OLR) process. Just as it is new to our parents/guardians, it is new to us. We value your feedback as we implement this system of returning student registration.
Here are some updates:
1) Registration Window is open until July 2nd, 2021. You have time to schedule Dr./Clinic visits for the physical exam, once you start the OLR process you can go back to it later.
2) We are tracking parents and their students who have started the OLR process - those that have started we are considering as confirming that they will be returning for SY21-22. If your child is not returning, please return the "Intent to Return Form" indicating that your child is not returning to SFIS for SY21-22 (check your physical mail for this form, it will also be available soon on our website).
3) Document uploads: We hope to have a workshop or recorded video soon showing you how to take photos of your documents for uploading. You can also use an app that will convert your forms to pdf documents from your phone photos. If your uploaded documents are not readable, we will place your submission on hold and ask you to re-upload.
4) Student photos: please take your child's photo with these guidelines (they will be used for student IDs that will be issued when they return in the fall):
* face must be clear - no hair in the face, showing full face, with good lighting.
* no hats or sunglasses. If a student wears glasses, try to take a photo that does not show glare on the glasses.
* crop photos - shoulders up.
5) Tech Support, Username/Password help, guidance: please contact William Pacheco during school hours for assistance: (505) 989-6308. Email is preferable wpacheco@sfis.k12.nm.us, please include your child's name in the email. We are aware that the date of birth fields for emergency contacts is not available, we are working on a fix.
6) Parents/Guardians wishing to complete registration off-line (paper only), you will need to download and print the forms under the "Offline Registration Forms" column on this page: Details for OLR - with forms links.
Completed forms must be returned via physical mail.
