Re: UPDATED RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION GUIDANCE
Dear Parents/Guardians:
I hope this letter finds you healthy and safe during this difficult time. As you know, the Santa Fe Indian School campus will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. For this reason, we will not hold the three returning student registrations sessions that were scheduled in May 2020.
We are reaching out to you now because we need your assistance to complete your child’s INTENT to RETURN and to register all returning students. You will find new guidance and deadlines for returning student registration below.
Guidance for Returning Students
In order to register your child at SFIS for SY20-21, you must complete both sides of your child’s Returning Student Registration Form. This form was mailed to you on March 18, 2020 along with your child’s 3rd Quarter Progress Report. Please update the information on the front of the form if there are any changes and complete the information on the back page.
Submit your completed form by April 24, 2020 to kdasheno@sfis.k12.nm.us or to the above address.
The additional forms listed in the Confirmation of Document Submission section must be submitted, prior to the start of the 2020-21 school year. These forms may be completed electronically or by hand and are available for download from the SFIS website at http://www.sfis.k12.nm.us under Admissions (click on SFIS forms).
We plan to hold a returning student registration session on the Sunday before students’ first day of school in August. We will be available to collect forms and assist with form completion during this time. Remember to bring your child’s health insurance card and copy of current immunizations with you. We will send more information as details are finalized.
Guidance for Students Not Returning
If your student is NOT returning, complete the Intent to Return section of the Returning Student Registration Form. You do not need to complete the rest of the form. Return the form via email or mail to Admissions by Friday, April 24, 2020.
