State Basketball Modified Schedule

Dear SFIS Family,

I am happy to announce that our HS girls and boys teams have advanced in the state basketball tournaments. It is important to me that all of us are given the opportunity to attend the games as SFIS family and SFIS community to support both the Boys and Girls Teams today and tomorrow. To allow this, our team of Administrators has made the following changes to our usual schedule :

Today – Wednesday, March 9 BRAVES vs. Sandia Prep at Sandia Prep 6:00 pm, Doors open 4:30 pm.

No Late Bus
Evening Study Hall is canceled
All MS/HS Athletic practices are canceled
MS/ HS Residential Students will be transported to the Boys game, OR parents can check students out
3:00-3:45 – Police Presence on campus – Braves bus will be escorted to the game and take a lap around campus. Join us by cheering them on as they leave.
Year-Round Staff released at 3:45 to Attend the Game

Tomorrow-Thursday March 10 - Lady Braves vs. Tohatchi at the PIT 3:30 pm

COVID Booster Clinic – canceled / Rescheduled – date to be determined
COVID testing 8 am – 11 am
Student Early Release 11:15 am
Grab'n'Go Lunch 11:15 am
Day Buses Depart at 11:30 am
12:00 pm -Staff Release to attend GameGame (except for those assigned to campus work)
MS/ HS Residential Students will be transported to the Girls game OR parents can check students out, dorms close at 6 pm ( except for weekend athletic students)
No Late Bus
Evening Study Hall is canceled
All MS/HS Athletic practices are canceled

Please bring your families, wear your school colors and bring your Brave and Lady Brave Pride! Speaking of Brave and Lady Brave Pride, please be mindful of cheering positively, Cheering for OUR TEAM, and NOT against the Opponent or the Refs. Please ask your families and our students to do the same. Remember, we model our SFIS CORE VALUES. Staff, while at the Game, please remember your role to ensure our SFIS students behave appropriately.
