WHAT CAN YOU DO

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is very important that all students and staff take the following steps to protect our community:

STAY HOME WHEN SICK: Stay home if you are sick or are living with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19;
REGISTER FOR COVID-19 TESTING: Register your student(s) or yourself as staff to participate in voluntary drive-through testing on Sundays and walk-up testing on Mondays. I strongly encourage everyone to participate, register here;
STAFF HOME TEST KITS: Staff members can pick up free Binax take home COVID-19 test kits to use if you are feeling ill. Pick up the first Friday of every month during the lunch hour.

As of December 2nd, 97% of our students and 98.9% of our staff are fully vaccinated. While the proportion of breakthrough cases is still very low, the United States is seeing an increasing rate of breakthrough cases since July 2021. Our communities mirror national data. One reason for the increased breakthrough rate is the current predominance of the Delta variant, which is more contagious. Another likely reason for the increase is waning vaccination immunity (Epic Health Research Network, 2021). We expect that as boosters become more prevalent, we will see fewer breakthrough cases.
