COVID-19: Message from Superintendent as NM Announces Public School Closure

Good afternoon Students/Parents and Community members of the Santa Fe Indian School,
We saw and read about the breaking news that New Mexico Public Education Department announced that public schools will be closing for the remainder of thisschool year due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic outbreak in NM.
Please be patient and allow the SFIS leadership to meet and determine our next steps and actions regarding the state's announcement. I am working with our Board of Trustees to plan an Emergency meeting soon to determine closure and discuss some draft plans.
As soon as a determination is made we will share with our students, parents, staff and all other stakeholders. Expect information early next week.
