Community Based Education Program Planner (SY24-25)

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalency and three (3) years of experience in a receptionist/clerical field or knowledge of basic office procedure. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps required.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in business or a related field and experience working with Native American students preferred. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Description:

To assist Community Based Education department to plan, implement, and improve the goals and objectives of the program and awarded grants.

• Works with CBE teachers, staff, and the principal to assist in creating budgets and spending plans for the program and track expenses.
• Facilitates the continuing development of the CBE program in close consultation with the CBE community Liaison and CBE Teachers.
• Is aware of and practice proper Tribal protocols with regard to Tribal visits to field locations.
• Works collaboratively with the CBE Department to set goals and track those goals through periodic reporting for both the school and any federal grants.
• Prepares field trips for student field experience to include transportation, food, and special equipment.
• Ensures administrative support for CBE Department as identified by the principal.
• Creates a master calendar (monthly or quarterly) that can be shared with all CBE teachers, staff, and principal.
• Demonstrates ethical behavior, including confidentiality and professionalism as relates to this position and the SFIS Code of Conduct.
• Works cooperatively with colleagues, administrators, and supervisor.
• Facilitates and/or supports major CBE event arrangements as identified by the teachers, staff, or principal.
• Ensures the students, parents, staff, and visitors are received in a courteous and positive way to provide welcome and assistance.
• Ensures phone calls are received, transferred, and placed quickly and pleasantly with appropriate phone etiquette.
• Ensures incoming electronic and paper correspondence are processed and shared with supervisor and liaison.
• Assists with creating materials that promote and communicate program events and announcements.
• Maintains a regular electronic and paper filing system.
• Ensures there are sufficient office supplies and equipment for CBE teachers and staff.
• Is self-directed, self-motivated, know how to multi-task, and what to do to successfully complete assigned work.
• Has a mind-set for continuous improvement, engage in self-development and appropriate approved staff development opportunities.
• Projects over-all concern for personal appearance as it relates to job performance.
• Dresses for professional office and field as specified by scope of work.
• Maintains behavior appropriate to performing and accomplishing assigned duties.
