High School Distance Learning Handbook

PDF Version [765.4 K]

Dear High School Parents and Students,

Welcome back to our returning students and a special welcome to our new 9th grade class!

Teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for this shift in teaching and learning. High School Academics is happy to share the High School Distance Learning Handbook and plans for school year 2020-2020. Thank you so much for your patience as we reinvented the school year through this pandemic to ensure all students will be successful with distance learning. Please read through the handbook thoroughly.

We know students are eager to see their schedules. Student Schedules will be available to view on NASIS today, Tuesday August 18 at noon. Schedules will look a little different to most parents and students. Be sure to refer to the handbook for an explanation of credits.  Please understand that class selection is somewhat limited this year due to distance learning and a modified schedule. If you or your child need to request any changes to the schedules, contact your grade level counselors:

9th Grade - Lisa Gonzales, lgonzales@sfis.k12.nm.us

10th Grade - Gladys Martin, gmartin@sfis.k12.nm.us

11th Grade - John Cammarata, johnc@sfis.k12.nm.us

12th Grade - Gary Toya, gtoya@sfis.k12.nm.us

We will also be sharing some orientation videos later this week that will review important aspects of the handbook, so keep a lookout for postings coming out on Thursday.

We miss our students and we are eager to start the new school year. We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
Sincerely,

Faith Rosetta, High School Principal
