COVID-19: Letter from Superintendent of Campus Closure

PDF Version [77.8 K]

Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, the Santa Fe Indian School Board of Trustees voted unanimously today that the SFIS campus will remain closed. The Board and Superintendent Roy Herrera stress the importance of our students’, parents’, staff, and community members’ health and safety.

Although the SFIS Campus is closed, the Board and school staff remain committed to implementing the SFIS Learning Enrichment Plan to provide continuous learning enrichment for all our students through the end of SY 2019-20 so they may promote to the next grade level, earn necessary credits, and/or graduate.

Detailed information will follow on our campus closure.  In terms of our credits, graduation and ceremony, regular summer programing (summer school, Summer Policy Academy, Health Careers Academy, etc.), we will be sending an update within the next few weeks. In the meantime, please encourage and support students to continue with their learning via the Google Classrooms and mailed materials.

We thank you and wish you the best of health.  If you have any questions, please contact your principal and or program director.
