Chief Financial Officer

Salary: $129,875.20 - $146,109.60 Depending on education and experience

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration with a major in accounting or related area preferred; and four to ten years’ equivalent combination of education and experience and supervisory experience in the areas of business and finance.

 

Certificates, License, and Registration:  If licensed as a certified public accountant maintain license through the New State Board of Public Accountancy is also preferred.   

 

Description:

The Chief Financial Officer works as part of the SFIS key administrator/director leadership team, using the SFIS Core Values to achieve the SFIS vision and goals to support the SFIS mission articulated in the Ideal Graduate statement. The Chief Financial Officer has the overall responsibility to administer a comprehensive Finance Department.  This Chief Financial Officer oversees all budgeting and financial activities for SFIS.  Provides direct supervision to finance personnel, and works collaboratively with key administration in the preparation, analysis and evaluation of fiscal activities, to include purchasing, receipting, accounting, payroll, disbursements, operating budgets and investments.  Responsible for the business office, financial data, and all fiscal operations of SFIS, including review and analyze significant statutory issues relative to financial resource management. This Chief Financial Officer provides information on matters pertaining to budget, funding, investments and financing to the Board, Superintendent, Staff, and the public; ensures compliance with established policies, procedures and/or regulations; and addresses a variety of administrative needs and procedures.
