IT Dept Technical Office Manager/Technician

Salary: $16.50 + depending on education & experience

Qualifications:

Associate or higher degree, or 5 years of experience in related area.

Description:

Assist in the day-to-day technical/non-technical operations of the IT department.  

Essential Functions:

• Remote learning support: Coordination and execution of tribal site deployments and on-Pueblo technical support, includes asset tracking of student-assigned devices
• Remote learning support: Point-of-Contact with Educator Directors and Tribal Librarians to address student needs regarding Internet connectivity, device repair and troubleshooting and other student support requests
• Remote learning support: Coordination and providing training needs for on-premise Pueblo student support, including Google and Chromebook use
• Remote working support: Coordinate device and peripheral equipment needs for remote working equipment procurement and inventory tracking
• Remote working support: Management of SFIS-issued staff cell phone new phones, repairs, and upgrades, and associated account maintenance
• Help desk: Routing phone calls and assigning help-ticket requests to the appropriate technician, includes answering help line, managing ticket system, completing level one trouble tickets
• Help desk: Ticket management, closing tickets, end-user outreach, reporting
• Prepare and facilitate IT communication staff and student help desk, routine maintenance, outages, and Google and domain account management
• Tracking and managing software and hardware licenses, includes but not limited to keeping spreadsheet records of software expiration dates, keeping spreadsheet records of hardware warrantees, registering equipment and service agreements on vendor web pages
• Assist with inventory and asset tracking, barcoding, and reportingGeneral Office Management includes interfacing with security for staff keys, interfacing with Facilities for custodial needs, answering IT department phone, other customary office management duties

Keeping technical department supplies organized includes sorting network cables, labeling equipment, keeping IT printers supplied with consumables, contacting recycler company for equipment pickup 

Managing purchase order workflow includes but not limited to preparing P.O . requisitions, split-coding purchases across various departments, transmitting purchase orders to suppliers, tracking shipments, communicating with vendors on order status

Financial record keeping includes but not limited to filing contracts, purchase orders, service agreements, E-Rate applications I Managing and transporting IT equipment orders and deliveries such as dropping o;t'f and picking up orders with the shipping department
Filing includes scanning IT department record into electronic document management system, keeping binders of records, and any other IT documents

Repair and maintain workstations, printers, and other end-user equipment

Diagnose and repair network cabling problems

Assist staff with the installation and use of equipment and software

Assist technical staff with cabling, configuring, and maintaining Cisco switches Assist technical staff with individual and mass deployments of hardware, operation systems and software packages

Assist the IT Dept. Coordinator/CTD in providing for end user trainings .

Transport and set up IT related equipment including computers, printers, switches1 UPS devices, TV displays, etc.

Assist the IT Dept. Coordinator/CTD with project management

Man IT registration desk during student registration includes assisting parents in filling out IT department related registration forms

Perform all other IT Department task as assigned by the IT Coordinator/Chief Technology Director

Will coordinate and provide hardware/software maintenance and user support through the use of Remote Desktop Assistance for SFIS-issued devices.
